The most delicious ones, the black mission figs, are small at the top and broad at the bottom, just like a drop of water. They’re also the most commonly used figs and the ones that you’ve heard of. They’re the dark blue/purple figs that have light pink within.

Brown turkey

The origins of the brown turkey figs date back to the early 1800s It was brought to England via Italy. It’s also a popular choice worldwide and is one of the largest in terms of size. These fruits have beautiful maple brown skins as well as beautiful pear shapes. They’re produced all over the world.

But, figs from the brown turkey which are harvested prior to the time frame are very rigid and hard. They are a dull and dull taste and are a pity since figs are tasty.

However, delicious ones have exquisitely soft skin that is easily broken to reveal the soft and smooth insides. The fruit is incredibly succulent, sweet and heavy inside.

Sierra

Kadota
